MATT MARSHAK is a NY favorite, thrilling fans across the area with his uptempo jazz-funk-R&B-blues guitar driven concerts. Touring 50+ times a year at large festivals, concerts and clubs across North America with his band Family Funktion: Kenny Harris, Carl Anderson, Rodney Williams, the band just has a good time every time.
Since his 2001 debut Preservation, then winning CD 101.9’s “Best New Artist” Moniker Matt’s unique guitar sounds have grown a large and loyal legion of fans. His soulful records This Time Around, Groovosphere and break through On the Rocks paved the way as his organic growth as an in demand guitarist and subsequent releases Family Funktion and Urban Folktales hit the top of various radio and jazz, R&B and independent artist sales charts on his own Nuance Music label.
